Call Me old fashioned or what you will but there is always an assortment of Floats or bobbers in the Frenzy's Box.I know I am gonna catch some flack for letting the cat a little bit out of the bag ,Tough I'm gonna anyways. Those of you who Know or who have been following the frenzy know I love my pan fish.
To start Lets classify the different styles and rigs. We have 4 styles, Casting bobbers, slip.fixed and Junk Bobbers!!! Casting bobbers are usually fire engine red or char-truce with a lead weight at the bottom of the bobber.Fished with a hair jig or live bait produce well,They cast long and accurate. they can be fished shallow or deep and the sensitivity is sweet.A good casting bobber should cost about a buck,Any less and you get what you pay for. Slip bobbers are a bit more complicated and I favor them in 6 feet or more of water. You first have first put on a bobber stop then thread the bobber and last tie on the hook or jig.Make your casts and see what happens. It easily adjusts to bring your bait of the bottom or closer to the bottom depending where the fish are. A good slip bobbers around 2 bucks and the real good one are 5 or 6. Fixed bobbers are good for small streams and rivers. Most of them are to light to cast far but what they lack for distance they make up in sensitivity. They can run threw rapids and seams . cast into slow pockets and stay.I use allot of fixed stuff in late fall and in the spring. Just mess around with the diferent styles and see what works best for you and you should catch more fish.
